Why a distributor?

The value that Horizon Business Systems brings to the table is twofold. First is a broad understanding of many printed products industries and robust navigation tools to bring transactions to a clean hassle free conclusion with no surprises or drama. Second is our depth of knowledge of production alternatives in the specific product line marketplace and our research tools to allow us to find a manufacturer and/or decorator for just about any product.

Every provider of print products in our industry buys products from other manufacturers. Major direct providers such as RR Donnelly and Standard Register manufacture some of their own products, but also buy products from the wholesale manufacturing base that Horizon Business Systems utilizes.

These “to the trade only” manufacturers are a huge key to the solution that we provide. Each one of our manufacturing partners is sought out for their particular niche or skill set in robustly providing product and service lines. Each one has been tried and proven and most of our manufacturing partners have been a large part of our solution for a decade plus. In our industry, manufacturers seek our business as we are professional and courteous in procurement of our jobs. We also offer most of our manufacturing partners a high volume of business, enabling us to essentially use our market clout to bring our clients jobs to a robust conclusion, time after time after time at a cost that is easy to justify.

Manufacturers have the continuing focus on getting production completed on as many jobs as their equipment can handle and a snag such as a sick operator or a broken part can set things back and often cause problems. When this situation happens, Horizon Business Systems will step up to the plate to determine the clients’ precise needs. Our staff then goes to work to ensure that the required benchmarks are met, even if this means changing manufacturers. We don’t have problems such as sick operators, because we always have other options for production.
